Alleged Child Molestation: Baba Ijesha Loses N15m Endorsement Deal

Lanre Omiyinka, popular Nollywood actor at accused of child molestation has lost a lucrative endorsement deal. The comic actor, popularly called Baba Ijesha’s endorsement deal with Matrix Homes and Properties Limited has been terminated as a result of the child molestation allegation against him which has shaken the film industry in Nigeria.   This medium learnt that the deal is worth N15 million annually to the actor. The property firm has put up a notice of disclaimer on the disgraced actor saying his behaviour was anti-ethical to the ideals of the company. In essence, the company said, Baba Ijesha has ceased to be the brand ambassador of the company.

FUOYE Suspends Registrar

Gani Salau The  Federal University Oye-Ekiti FUOYE in Ekiti state has suspended Mr. Olatunbosun Odusanya as the registrar of the Federal institution. This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen today in Ado-Ekiti ,Ekiti state capital by the Special Adviser on Media to the Vice-Chancellor, Wole Balogun, that Odusanya was suspended by the University Governing Council under the chairmanship of  Dr. Mohammed Yahuza,  in order to allow for proper investigation into allegations of misconduct leveled against him over irregularities in  recent appointments in the university. The Management and Authority of Ekiti State University restated its commitment to the welfare of its workers, contrary to the recent press conference of ASUU branch of the institution. • Considers 50 applications for clemency  The Ekiti State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy will meet today to consider applications for clemency from persons convicted by the high court of Ekiti State and serving various sentences in the Nigerian Correctional Centers Ado-Ekiti, Abeokuta and  Lagos. This was disclosed yesterday by the Special Assistant to the Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Olakekan Suleman. Ekiti Govt Lawyers Sit For Mock Promotional Exams Today

In a move to test the readiness of counsel to meet the changing legal needs of the State, lawyers in the Ekiti State Ministry of Justice will today sit for its second mock promotional examinations.  This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to the Attorney-General on Public Education & Communications, Olalekan Suleman in a statement on Friday.  According to him, the examinations is in furtherance of the commitment of the Government of Ekiti State to building the capacity of legal officers to deliver professional legal services to the government and people of Ekiti State. Suleman said Key issues that will be subject of the test are knowledge of law, knowledge of public service rules, knowledge of government and policies among others.   The first lady of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has officially unveiled cancer screening machine and Anesthesia machine donated by Hon. Olusola Fatoba to Aduni Olayinka diagnostic and wellness centre of  Ekiti state University Teaching Hospital(EKSUTH) Ado-Ekiti. Erelu Bisi Fayemi while unveiling the medical equipments for official use commended the Reps member for taking such a laudable  step.  The first lady who expressed happiness at what she described as good innitiative,  thanked Fatoba for the "very good example he has shown". The CMD of EKSUTH, Prof. Kayode Olabanji expressed his profound appreciation for the donation of the medical equipments by Hon.
