Couple of years back, Dapo mysteriously escaped death via a ghastly power bike accident, which forced him to beat a retreat from the public space. However, there are indications that his alleged suicide may not be unconnected to his marital woes with wife, Patricia, a trained lawyer and an entrepreneur. And, that accounts for why I always tell you at every given opportunity, that you are still advancing more, to the very top. Without mincing words, Rotimi is unarguably, a pride of the family and journalism professoin. Stoutly and hugely built, he ordinarily commands respect on first sight. He is astoundly fashionable and combines talent with handsomeness a...

At Last, Manchester United’s Joy confirmed

Image
Kolawole Victor Marcus Rashford should be available for Manchester United's next fixture. ‬ Marcus Rashford has been out since mid-January with a back injury but the England ace should be able to return when football recommences. Rashford was enjoying a superb season with Manchester United before suffering a double stress fracture which would have keep him out until towards the end of the season. But the coronavirus pandemic has had a major impact on the football schedule, meaning Rashford could now be fit when action does get back underway. Marcus Rashford said in March: “I feel much better. “I feel, comparing it to two or three weeks ago, 10 times better and for me now it’s just about getting ready to build it back up to training and playing games with the team. “I’m in a much better place, I’m much happiethan I was about a month ago so things are looking positive.” The top-flight is on hold with reports he could start again in mid-June and that has given Ras...

Face Masks as fashion accessories - By Karounwi Oladapo

Image
Today, Monday, May 4, 2020 was the first day of the National enforcement of face masking order in Nigeria! Can you imagine the effect of Coronavirus Pandemic in the fashion World? I drove round the city of Ado Ekiti today. What I saw confirmed to me that we are indeed in a different world! Virtually everybody I saw was in mask. Painfully, I couldn't recognize beautiful ladies and ugly ones anymore. One can easily mistake some women for  men, particularly the ladies in glasses, after putting on the masks! My sense of admiring good looking ladies has been badly affected. I couldn't diffentiate handsome men from the dregs anymore. We all appeared like masquerades in varying colours of Adire, Ankara, voile lace, Guinea, and even jeans fabrics! I couldn't find those ladies in make ups, lips sticks and lips glosses ; no thanks to the face masks. Wearing eyelashes and maskara was of no effect by the time you wear your face masks.  Obviously the Coronavirus Pandemic has ...

Stop Following Those Beating Drum of War in Nigeria - By Muhammad Kabeer Isa

Image
By Muhammad Kabeer Isa For those of you who have been dancing to the rhythms of the drums of war being continuously beaten by the PDP, Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB rats, CAN, NCEF,Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Yinka Odumakin, Deji Adeyanju, Reno Omokri, Afenifere, Middle-Belt Forum, South-South Peoples Forum, PANDEF, etc, I hope the corona virus pandemic and the accompanying lockdown has given you a very faint idea of what a war situation would be like. Just under seven weeks of a lockdown, and you are already screaming of hunger and begging for palliatives from Buhari. Let me assure you that whatever hardships or inconvenience you think you are suffering now is not up to one percent of what you will suffer if war ever breaks out as a result of the "Biafra or death", "Islamization", "Fulani jihad", "Fulanization", and "Buhari wants to kill every Christian in Nigeria" propaganda churned out by Nnamdi Kanu, FFK, Yinka Odumakin, Deji Adeyanju, Ren...

COVID-19 Opinion: Why Nigerians Must Not Worry But Stay Alive - By Ebiowei Lawal

Image
NIGERIA THE MIRACLE NATION When I read the news that crude oil price in the international market has dropped to about $11 or $12 per barrel, I was reminded about an interview I watched on the NTA Network Service. That night, the person featured on the interview program was an American born Economist (I have forgotten his name). He visited Nigeria to validate the speculation that Nigeria was actually the Giant of Africa. In course of the interview, the interviewer asked, "you have spent two weeks in Nigeria carrying out your research about the strength of her economy, what are your findings?" He replied, "well, I wouldn't say I enjoyed my stay really but I discovered that Nigeria is the strongest economy in the world." He went on to explain that "I have not said she is the most prosperous economy of the world, mind you. I say so because Nigeria happens to be the largest economy that can survive with the absence of government support except in the ...
