Pages: 182
Year of Publication: 2007
ISBN: 978-34096-0-3-8
Publisher: Cotai Communications Network
About The Book
Essential of Newswriting & Reporting is a practical experience of a crack reporter using the syllabuses of various institutions of mass communication particularly the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) and the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) as guidelines. It contains a wide range of topics which are treated exhaustively starting from what news is to the entire nature of news and newsmen, media terminologies, reporting and duties of a reporter vis-Ć -vis the public interest as it affects medica practice in Nigeria.
“Having gone through the book, it is clear for all to see that this compendium has been thoroughly enriched by Tai’s one and a half decade long sojourn in journalism. At a time, when many of the new entrants into journalism suffer from lack of sufficient knowledge on the ABC of news reporting, I have no doubt that this book will be of real assistance to students of journalism as well as practititoners who feel the need for a refresher in the basics of the profession”

Publisher: Cotai Communications Network
About The Book
Apart from the Author’s good command of language which is accessible to many children, his generous use of moonlight tales with their attendant morals will be appreciated by children. In addition, the section on questions which the author has included at the end of each lesson will also go a long way in encouraging the children to concentrate in reading the stories. The Palace Boy (and other stories) is a worthy addition to the very few quality children’s stories that currently grace our bookshelves.
… Dr Wale Okediran, President, Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), 2009
“I found the stories and the manner of telling very entertaining. The book portrays Tai as having very fertile imagination and unique story-telling style. The way he recreates an otherwise familiar story and makes it wear a new colour with fresh air is captivating and impressive
