Jimoh Aliu Burial Cttee Visits Media Stations

In its quest to give late theatre icon, Chief Jimoh Aliu (MFR), a befitting final burial ceremony, the Burial Committee has paid pre-event awareness visits to media outfits in Ado-Ekiti.


On ground to receive them yesterday were the General Manager of VOICE FM, Mr Donald Falaye and his counterpart at Fresh FM, Mr David Ajiboye. 






The committee was led by its Chairman who doubles as the Special Adviser on media to the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Akogun Tai Oguntayo who was accompanied by TAMPAN Governor in Ekiti, Comrade Eniola Eniafe, FOIU National PRO, Demola Atobaba and two of Chief Jimoh Aliu's Children; Rasaki and Taju


Other station slated for visit today are: Ayoba FM, Progress FM, NTA & BSES. Jimoh Aliu's final burial ceremony comes up in Ado Ekiti with Artistes' Night on 19th November and burial ceremony on 20th November, 2020.

The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun is not involved in any accident contrary to insinuations in some quarters. This is according to a release by head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs of the University,  Bode Olofinmuagun. "As a matter of fact, it was his back up vehicle that was involved after the Vice Chancellor had already passed by the scene. "Those involved in the accident are already receiving treatment at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) and they are in stable conditions," the statement read.

Fayemi Resumes Campaign Shuttles, Promises Goodies For Ekiti Residents

John Kayode Fayemi  The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State,  Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Wednesday resumed his visits to his supporters in a multi-legged campaign shuttles that will take him to all the nooks and crannies of the state to sell his manifesto ahead of the July 14 poll. Wednesday visits started at Iyemero-Ekiti with stops at Odo-Oro, Oke-Ijebu, Ara-Ikole, Ikole-Ekiti and other communities in Ikole Local Government Area of the state and parts of Gbonyin Local Government where residents regretted that they had suffered neglect by Governor Ayodele Fayose, including living in the dark for years, bad roads and hunger, since Fayemi left the government in 2014. Gbonyin Local Government people complained that pleas to Fayose for three years to help restore light to the local government  had fallen on death ears while also regretting that the governor never considered the local government for Executive Council appointment....
