Ekiti PDP Guber Aspirant Set To Commission Campaign Office.

A Governorship aspirant of the People's Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Asiwaju Segun Oni is set to commission the Ijero Local Government campaign office on Saturday, 3rd Mach, 2021


Oni, who has indicated his interest to contest the Governorship election in Ekiti State in 2022 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party resolved to resume the commissioning of his campaign offices across the sixteen Local Governments after the suspension of all political engagements following the death of some electorates and a police officer during the suspended Ekiti East Constituency 1 bye election in Omuo Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government Area of Ekiti state a fortnight ago.


"Recall the official commissioning was earlier suspended to sympathize with the family of those that lost their lives during the unconcluded Ekiti East Constituency1 Bye-Election, the statement read.


Oni further stated, "however, Saturday 3rd April has been fixed for the commissioning by 3pm. He felt sorry for the inevitable inconveniences and appealed to PDP members to be law abiding."

Ekiti SSG, Foluso Daramola Heads 20-member Transition C'ttee

  The secretary to Ekiti State Government, Mr Foluso Daramola has been appointed by the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, to head the Transition Committee and also accompanied by an Advisory Council. This was in line with the Ekiti State Transition Law, 2019 and following the election of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as Governor-elect. The Transition Committee. would among other tasks, study the state of affairs of the present administration, review the programmes and projects of MDAs and map out strategies for a smooth transition from the incumbent to the incoming government.  The Advisory Council would address unresolved issues.
