Fapohunda Hosts Send-Off For Obaparusi (PHOTOS)

The Honourable Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda yesterday hosted a get-together for friends and colleagues of Remi Obaparusi, Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission on his retirement from the Ekiti State Public Service.


At the event were; the Chief of Staff Biodun Omoleye( who represented Governor Fayemi ) the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji and the Head of Service, Olapeju Babafemi

Fayemi Slashes Politicians' Salaries

The Governor of Ekiti, Dr Kayode Fayemi has slashed the salaries of political appointees in the State by 50%. This was made known in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Value Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua. This decision, according to the release was caused consequent upon the ravaging effects of the COVID-19 scourge which made the global economy to be severely affected, with the depression affecting Nigeria as a nation, and expectedly, our dear Ekiti State. It further read; "as a responsive and responsible government, the Fayemi-led administration has taken stock of our financial situation, vis-a-vis our constantly decreasing receipts from the federation account, as well as our dwindling internally generated revenue (IGR), and has been forced to wake up to the current realities of our fiscal position." Easter Celebration: Ekiti CP Orders Adequate Security

In a bit to have smooth and peaceful Easter celebration as Christian faithful around the globe celebrate, the Ekiti state police commissioner ,Tunde Mobayo has directed all the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and other heads to maintain adequate security in their domains during and after the Easter celebration. Mobayo made this known in a press release made available to the press today in Ado  Ekiti, Ekiti state capital by the command"s Public Relation Officer, ASP Sunday Abutu urging the security officials to be alive to their duty and ensure adequate security.
