Tourism: Ekiti State Parliamentary Delegation Visit South Africa
A delegation of members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly will from 27 April – 3 May 2019 visit South Africa as part of their capacity development programme. According to the leader of delegation, the Speaker of the House, Right Honorable Adeniran Alagbada, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to visit South Africa, a country where Nigeria has a strong bilateral relationship. Nigeria has a deep-rooted and broad-ranging partnership with South Africa particularly in the areas of growing people-to-people ties, trade and investment, development and security cooperation.” He said that it was in furtherance of this relationship that the Ekiti State House of Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Guateng Legislature during the first tenure of the Fayemi Administration in 2013.
