Popular Lagos-based seer, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has revealed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, lost the Ekiti State governorship election due to alleged arrogance and overconfidence of his godfather, Governor Ayo Fayose. Ayodele, who is the founder and head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church with headquarters in Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, said he warned Fayose about a year ago of an impending defeat but the governor rebuffed his warning. The cleric, who hails from Ikere-Ekiti the country home of Olusola, disclosed that he warned Fayose to change some of his alleged negative attributes which included ingratitude, arrogance and self deception of having prophetic utterances if he hoped to succeed in installing a successor. According to him, it was wrong for Fayose to had claimed to be a prophet by releasing predictions believed to be politically motivated. Crisis Looms As APC Lawmakers Set to Reverse Adjournment

Fresh crisis is brewing in the Ekiti state House of Assembly following the adjournment of legislative business to October by the majority Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members of the House. The minority All Progressives Congress (APC) legislators described the long adjournment as illegal and not in the interest of the people of the state who elected them. The APC Assembly members led by the Minority Leader, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan (Ikole Constituency 1), alleged that the long adjournment was masterminded by Governor Ayo Fayose in a bid to emasculate the legislative arm. Other APC members of the Ekiti parliament are Mr. Sunday Akinniyi (Ikere Constituency 1) and Mr. Adeniran Alagbada (Ise/Orun Constituency). Aribisogan, Akinnyi and Alagbada defected from the PDP at different times and joined the APC over internal crisis that rocked their former party. Kayode Babatuyi, it was stated that the NUJ is not in any way happy about the unprofessional attitude of the station. The governorship bid of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has received a boost as he has been adopted by twenty five other  political parties. Citing what they called Fayemi’s “superlative and sparkling credentials” and life-changing policies and projects during his first tenure, the parties pledged to work for his victory at the Saturday poll. IGP Joshak Habila Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations), Mr. Habila Joshak, has declared that no party will be allowed to hold any political rally not approved by the police until the election is held. The police boss added that the proposed rally of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was stopped to prevent possible breakdown of law and order. A 33, 000 liters fuel tanker just fell off at Irona street in Ado-Ekiti, the state Capital. The tanker was to deliver fuel to NIPCO filling Station also in Irona. He made this revelation today, Tuesday July 3, 2018 while responding to questions from pressmen at the Ado-Ekiti Area Command in Okesha, Ado-Ekiti on Police's nonchalant attitude to security issues around them.
