The Ekiti State House of Assembly has submitted the outcome of its screening on Commissioner nominees to Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The legislative house said the successful transmission of its resolution on the list of successful nominees to the executive was for further action.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Oke, stated the forwarded list completes the required constitutional processes on the appointment to the office of Commissioner as enshrined in Section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

Oke said “upon transmission of the list to the Governor, it is expected that he will undertake the swearing-in and assignment of portfolios to the Commissioners”

However, he stressed that the Assembly remains dedicated to upholding the principles of good governance and delivering on the aspirations of the people.
