The President, Muhammadu Buhari has reinstated his commitment to handing over to the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu come May 29 this year.


In a release by his Senior Special Assistant, Sheu Garuba, the President wondered "How can one tirelessly canvass and vigorously campaign for somebody, voted for him and then say you won’t hand over to him?"


"The appalling fake news is patently with no doubt that the opposition who should rather accept their fate but decided to preach lies in the hope that people will believe as the truth. 


The Presidency made it known that the government was already in full transition phase. The Transition Committee, made up of representatives of the outgoing administration and the incoming one is meeting on an almost daily basis planning the handover to the Tinubu and his vice Shettima administration. 


"Apparently, everything is going very well and there is no form of any entanglement," the release said. The Daura community was said to have begun its preparations to receive its son, President Muhammadu Buahri back after the successful administration of the country for two terms of eight years. "Even the president himself is eager to return home to enjoy his retirement in his preferably community" Garuba said

ANA Faction Loses Court Case, Risks Being Docked For Contempt of Court

The National Executive of a faction of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) led by Mr. Camilus Ukah has lost its bid to challenge the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, in a pending originating summons against them and the faction it constituted for Abuja, under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Usman Halima.
