Dep Gov Afuye Hosts APC Women Leaders

APC women leaders from the 16 Local Government Area in Ekiti State were hosted today at the instance of Deputy Governor in her office.

The women leaders' visit was to express their indebtedness to God as well as felicitate the Deputy Governor on her recent election as the Deputy Governor, Ekiti State. 

The interim APC Women leader and current chairperson, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local GovernmentArea, Mrs Eegunjobi Caroline, on behalf of the leaders said: 

" Our reason for visiting the Deputy Governor is to pray for as well as congratulate our Mentor, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye on her elevation to the status of the Ekiti State Deputy Governor."

Her Excellency rendered some songs of praises to God for divine mercy and grace over her life and those of the women leaders.

In her words: "I thank God for mercy and divine favour. My occupying this coveted seat could only be attributed to God, who lifts whoever He wishes to. Therefore, I enjoin you all to pray on my behalf for wisdom in the order of Solomon to lead aright."

She further enjoined the women leaders to shun selfishness , political acrimony and cynicism. 

" Remain exemplary leaders who exhibit honesty, integrity and unalloyed loyalty to the course of making Ekiti work. Pray for the success of the present administration."

 "The forthcoming elections should be approached with all seriousness. As women leaders , you must ensure that APC coasts home to victory at the forthcoming polls."

While thanking the women leaders , she urged them to go back to their various bases ever united and ensure that APC party remain victorious at the polls:

" For every work done diligently, there is a reward because the moral arc is long but it will ultimately bend towards reward. Be critical for success at the polls.", she said.
