Balkanization of Ekiti SDP - By Karounwi Oladapo

Seven weeks after Segun Oni SDP lost Ekiti Gubernatorial election, the emergency Political Party, called SDP, that was not founded on any principle, ideology or manifesto; the party of the aggrieved from the PDP and APC; a special purpose vehicle put together only for the purpose of standing for election, is gradually disintegrating, despite a very feeble attempt to put something together, however illogical, and placed before the election petition tribunal, just to keep the unsuspecting and naive members of the party together with the false impression that all hope is not lost, when in reality, the Party is in a hopeless situation! The wise members of the Party have borrowed themselves sense and took a flight to either APC or PDP

As at today, the two leadership of the party, the Governorship and Deputy Governorship Candidates have parted ways and divided the party down the middle. While the Segun Oni faction is now ATIKULATED, his Deputy, Ladi Owolabi faction, is now  BATIFIED.

Simply put, Segun Oni is now associating with the PDP through the Atiku route, apparently as a pay back for the supports Atiku gave Ekiti SDP during the last Gubernatorial election.

Ladi Owolabi is now associating with the APC through the SWAGA route. Ekiti APC is very delighted to associate with him and his numerous supporters. Ladi Owolabi actually gave the little oxygen with which SDP secured its biggest votes in Ado, otherwise, SDP would have come a distant third.

Ekiti SDP has been given an indecent burial. May its soul rest in peace. Amen.
