After sacking Aides, Fayemi Dissolves BOUEST Governing Council

Barely a week after announcing the sack of his political aides, the Governor of Ekiti, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has dissolved the Governing Council of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti. 


The Governor approved the dissolution of the Governing Council with immediate effect. This was made known in a  press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode today in line with the State’s extant transition policy. 


The Governor however thanked the Chairman and members of Council for their contributions towards the development of the institution, the Governor wishes them the very best in their future endeavours.


It will be recalled that in a letter dated 15 July 2022 and signed by the Permanent Secretary in the office 9f the Secretary to the State Government, Mr T. G Adejumo, the aides of the governor were relieved of their appointments.  


Those affected according to the circular are; Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Technical Assistants and Executive Assistants to the Governor. Their sack takes effect from end of August 2022.
