It was a flock of bigwigs at the Christ Life Church, Grace Arena in Ibadan today, as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Wale Oke and several top government functionaries graced the thanksgiving service of Elder Mrs Runsewe Abioye Fapohunda, mother to the Ekiti State Attorney General Olawale Fapohunda.

The event which climaxed at the reception ceremony held at Mama Fapohunda's residence in Ibadan was meant to be a "quiet" one but ended up witnessing a large number of well-wishers and friends of the family as guests trooped-in in their numbers.

Earlier at the thanksgiving ceremony in the church, Bishop Wale Oke described Mama Fapohunda as a down-to-earth woman who is also a dedicated Christian. According to him, mama's life and testimonies have been and continued to be an inspiration and blessing to him.

"You will never know mama is this blessed and great. She is so humble and simple. All of her children are well to do and are doing well in their own right, when mama shares her testimonies I am always inspired. We celebrate God in the life of Mama," Bishop Oke said.

The Attorney-General who also spoke at the thanksgiving ceremony thanked God for blessing his mother with sound health and for giving Mama the key to making him and his siblings what they are today.

"We want to thank God because clocking 80 is a milestone and my mum has always had very good health, we are privileged to have her watch over us," Fapohunda said.

Also present at the event were Deputy Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Hakeem Jamiu, Commissioner for Finance Akin Oyebode, Sole Administrator EKS-WAMA, Bayo Kelekun, former Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor Biodun Omoleye, former NHIS Boss, Femi Thomas, Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Justice, Lawrence Ojo.
