Ekiti SSG, Foluso Daramola Heads 20-member Transition C'ttee

The secretary to Ekiti State Government, Mr Foluso Daramola has been appointed by the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, to head the Transition Committee and also accompanied by an Advisory Council.


This was in line with the Ekiti State Transition Law, 2019 and following the election of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as Governor-elect.



The Transition Committee. would among other tasks, study the state of affairs of the present administration, review the programmes and projects of MDAs and map out strategies for a smooth transition from the incumbent to the incoming government. 



The Advisory Council would address unresolved issues.

The Transition Committee and Advisory Council comprise members nominated by the state government and the Governor-elect.

The Committees are to turn in their reports within six weeks from the date of their inauguration.

ANA Faction Loses Court Case, Risks Being Docked For Contempt of Court

The National Executive of a faction of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) led by Mr. Camilus Ukah has lost its bid to challenge the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, in a pending originating summons against them and the faction it constituted for Abuja, under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Usman Halima.
