Nigeria , Bangladesh Will Consolidate Mutually -Buhari Assures.

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the outgoing Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency, MD Shameen Ashan  that the mutually rewarding relationship inbetween the two countries would be sustained. 


In a press release personally signed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser, Media to the president on Media on Tuesday at a virtual farewell function in Abuja, Buhari congratulated the envoy on the strides he attained on the relationship between the two countries.


“We will continue to expand on what you have achieved, operations in agriculture, military cooperation, and in many other areas, will continue,” President Buhari assured. 


The outgoing High Commissioner thanked Nigeria for the support he received in about two-and-a-half years he spent in Nigeria noting that bilateral relations between the two countries have improved tremendously, with many Memoranda of Understanding signed, and others still in the works.


Buttressing  his achievements during his tenure in Nigeria, Ashan stated, “Over 60 delegates visited Nigeria from my country for different purposes during my tenure. I and my wife will miss beautiful Nigeria,” 


Ashan resumed as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria over two years ago having completed his term successfully.
