The Lagos State Government has directed that all schools for all classes both in public and private across the State beginning from Monday, 2nd of November, 2020 be re-opened for academic exercise while boarders in public schools are to resume on Sunday, 1st of the same month respectively.

This was made available today in a press release personally signed

by Kayode Abayomi, Head,Public Affairs, on behalf of the commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo .

Adefisayo maintained that this year has been an unprecedented one with the recent happenings that have regrettably led to frequent closure of schools with attendant learning disruptions faced by all children.

She asserted,

“We recommend that when schools resume on Monday, teaching and learning should continue unhindered till the end of the term.”

Adefisayo therefore advised pupils/students to take their studies more seriously in a bid to recover the lost period and thereby excel and hoped that there would not be any distruption in the new academic calendar.
