EKSU Don Emerges COECSO Leader

 

A senior lecturer at the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Prof Christopher Oluwadare has emerged the State Chairman of the Coalition of Ekiti Civil Society Organizations (COECSO) in a keenly contested election conducted.

Oluwadare, a Professor of Medical Sociology who is also the National Vice President of Okemesi Community High School Old Students' Associstion (OCHSOSA), won the election conducted on Thursday 13th August, 2020 in Ado Ekiti.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Pastor Peter Akosile, in a statement said; "on behalf of the Election Committee, I appreciate God and all members for the success of the just concluded election today, Thursday 13th August, 2020. I pray God to continue to give the organisation  direction to succeed in the running of the organization."

While announcing the result of the election, the Returning Officer, Pastor (Mrs) Ebun Famunbode, explained that twenty five organizations were cleared for the election and all voted according to their conscience. The election was witnessed by the SSA to the governor on Civil Society matter, Mr Abiodun Oyeleye,  Ministry of Women Affairs and Social development, represented by Mr Aladegbola Gbenga.
