LG Polls: Candidates Emerge As APC Postpones Ado, Ikole, Omuo Primaries

Primary elections were held Yesterday, Saturday, September 28th, 2019 in some Local Government Areas in Ekiti State with over 10 Candidates emerging as flag bearers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming Council Election in December.
As at the time of filing this report, Hon. Ropo Ige was said to be Confirmed as the Chairmanship Candidate of the APC in Ijero Local Government Area, Hon. Amire emerged in Ekiti Southwest, Otunba Femi Ayodele emerged in Ikere Local Government.
Others are; Engr Bode Adetunji as Chairmanship Candidate of the APC in Efon Local Government, Hon. Kareem Agunbiade as Candidate of the APC in Ekiti West Local Government, Foluso Ojo for Oye Local Government, Hon Olawale Shina Ogunleye confirmed for Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and Dunjoye Akinola as Candidate of the APC in Ilejemeje Local Government area.
As for the controversial Ado, Omuo and Ikole Local Government Areas, the Party Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ado-Ekiti Local Government Hon. Akinleye Michael while speaking with Fountain Newsbreaker noted that "the primary elections were postponed not indefinitely but the matter has been taken to the State Secretariat.
"The Primaries were postponed to avert some foreseen problems because we got some report that some people were tying to foment trouble in some of the areas and in other to save that situation it was postponed. The State is currently looking into it and working on choosing a new date for the primary elections to hold in these areas.
