NUJ Commiserates with Ekiti Assembly Over Member's Demise
The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Ekiti State Council has commiserated with the members and staff of the State House of Assembly over the gruesome murder of the lawmaker who represented Ekiti southwest constituency two.
In a statement released by the secretary of the Union, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, the council described the murder of the lawmaker as pathetic and unfortunate.
According to the statement which was signed by the chairman Rotimi Ojomoyela and the secretary Kayode Babatuyi, they said, "the killing of Honourable Michael Adedeji was an act of wickedness which had only cut short a blossom life.
"The lawmaker was a perfect gentle man, easy going and peace loving thus he was honoured with a chieftancy title by his community".
The council however, expressed worry over the incessant killings and criminal activities in the state hence the various security outfit should intensify their security surveillance and put an end to the dastardly acts.
It prays God to grant the family of the deceased the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
