2019: Ekiti-APC Women Leader Declares for House of Reps

Ekiti All Progressives Congress(APC), Women Leader, Hon. Mrs Susan Dupe Bakare has declared her intention to contest the House of Representatives seat for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2.
The Federal Constituency comprises Ijero, Ekiti West and Efon local government areas of the state.
In her home town -Temidire Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area of the State, mrs Bakare submitted her letter of intent to the APC Chairman of her Eka Marun ward , Hon. Odun Ajayi, amidst admiration and commendations from party supporters in the area.
The APC women leader noted that her reason to join the house of representatives race was borne out of her desire to serve the people and provide quality and responsive representation.
While soliciting supports from all party members , she promised to collaborate with relevant agencies to attract development to the federal constituency.
Bakare decried the current situation in the National Assembly, adding that the crisis was avoidable if the party leadership had done the right thing at the onset.
She assured the constituents never to disappoint them if given the mandate to represent at the federal constituency in 2019.
Her words: " My desire to fulfil the above will provide me the opportunity to serve our people, provide quality leadership, equitable representation and ensure that dividends of democracy are delivered to our people even at the grassroots as and when due.
"I will collaborate with all required government agencies to guarantee that both socio-economic and political developments and growth are witnessed by our dear constituency."
She described the level of women participation in politics in the country as unacceptable,calling on women wing to join active politics by contesting for elective positions.
Speaking, the APC chairman in Ijero local government area, Hon. Adeola Adeyemo described her as an individual who has contributed in no small measure to the development of the party.
Adeyemo, while noting she has remained committed to the party since the Alliance for Democracy (AD) days with her moral and financial supports, wished her success in the race.
Earlier Speaking, the APC chairman of Eka Marun Ward , Hon. Odun Ajayi expressed delight to the state women leader for joining the house of representatives race.
He said Hon. Bakare is an active and important member of the community saying she qualified to represent the federal constituency.
