Another important milestone was achieved on Easter Sunday, 1 April 2018, when technical experts i.e. Architects, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Land Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors converged at the ancient town of Ikoro-Ekiti to deliberate on the Master Plan for the proposed University earmarked for the ancient town and allied issues.

It is, indeed, a great milestone in our forward march towards the realization of our ardent desire to have a unique university established in our esteemed community.

Earlier in the day, the technical team paid a working visit to the permanent site along Ikoro/Okemesi Road, Ikoro-Ekiti, in order to take a critical look at the immediate exterior of the site with a view to taking a final decision on where to put the main dual carriageway leading to the campus as proposed in the Master Plan.

Shortly after the visit to the site, the technical team returned to the conference table where issues connected with the nitty gritty of the Master Plan were brilliantly and admirably trashed.

The entire deliberative session was interesting and memorable just as it was very insightful, informative and highly instructive.

It is pertinent to report that the maiden meeting was held amid infectious enthusiasm and real team spirit.

After almost four hours of brilliant and appetising session, the meeting adjourned till Saturday, 14 April 2018 @ 4.00pm.

The Convener and Chief Host of the meeting thanked all the conferees and expressed the hope to warmly receiving them again at the next meeting.

Here's appealing to well-meaning indigenes of Ikoro Community as well as their friends at home and abroad to consider bringing more investments to the community with a view to raising the socio-economic bar of the ancient town.

There are many lucrative economic portfolios  that could compliment the proposed University that are  now yearning for urgent consideration by wise investors e.g. commercial banks, micro banks, hotels, student hostels, bookshops, medical centres, housing estates, bakeries, petrol filling stations, printing press, eateries, supermarkets, modern laundries, photo laboratories, beverages and table water production, cassava/rice mills and general merchandise among several others.

Good enough, the people of the community, more than ever before, are now more favourably disposed to leasing their old farmlands for development purposes.

A trial will surely convince the wise investor who takes a good leap in this direction, bearing in mind that nothing ventured, nothing gained!

ANA Faction Loses Court Case, Risks Being Docked For Contempt of Court

The National Executive of a faction of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) led by Mr. Camilus Ukah has lost its bid to challenge the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, in a pending originating summons against them and the faction it constituted for Abuja, under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Usman Halima.
