Jewel Hotel Grants Ekiti ANA Reading Venue For a Year ... As Ayo Arise Becomes Patron Feb 15
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Ekiti State chapter has been granted the free use of the banquet hall of the Jewel Hotels, Ado Ekiti for the next one year.
The Chief Executive Officer of the hotel, Chief Oyedeji Olajubu made this known in his office today while receiving the State Chairman of the Association, Akogun Tai Oguntayo and the Head of English and Literary Studies Department, Ekiti State University, Dr Lara Owoeye.

The two leaders of the association had visited the management of the hotels in respect of the first anniversary of the association coming up on February 15, 2018 in Ado Ekiti.
Engr Oyedeji Olajubu who is a district Chairman of the Lion's club was happy to receive the ANA representatives in his office. He promised to also make provision for some slots of advertisements in the radio for the monthly reading of ANA in Ekiti State.
The son of the late erudite Yoruba scholar, Professor Olajubu, took the duo into the memory lane of his humble background despite his father's scholarly prowess.
Responding, the ANA boss, thanked him for the provision of venue for the association and allowance for publicity on the radio for the next one year. He told the industrialist that the association would be glad to invite him as a special guest at the March reading which shall take place at the jewel Hotel.
Also while acknowledging Olajubu's generosity, Dr Owoeye thanked him for his large heart for the less privileged and indigent people in the society. She urged him not to relent in his humanitarian services as "this has a great reward in heaven".
Ekiti ANA's first anniversary is billed to take place next week on 15 February, 2018 in Ado Ekiti during which Ekiti Anthology will be officially launched. During this event the investiture of the first Patron of the Association in Ekiti, Senator Ayo Arise, will take place. The National President of the Association Mallam Denja Abdullahi will deliver a key note address there.
Among those expected to be honoured at the event are: the former National President of the Association, Dr Wale Okediran, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye Ekiti, Professor Kayode Soremekun, Chief Jimoh Aliu, Prof Ojo Bakare Rasaki, Chief Bayo Adeniran, Dr Chris Omotoso, Chief (Lion) Olajubu and Dr Tessy Adeseke among others.
