‎JKF Centre Hails Buhari's Return, Urges Support For President's Growth Agenda

Image
JKF Centre, a baby of Dr Kayode Fayemi towards youths training and leadership development, has rejoiced with President Muhammadu Buhari on his safe return to Nigeria after three months medical holiday in London. The centre's solidarity message came as civil society groups in Ekiti State storm the state capital, Ado-Ekiti, tomorrow for a solidarity rally in support of the President. In a statement in Ado-Ekiti  by its Director, Biodun Omoleye, the centre said it was pleased to have the President back on his desk hale and hearty after unpleasant rumours on his health left Nigerians distraught on the consequences of his long absence in the polity. He also praised Nigerians for their prayers, noting that the President's return is a prayer answered for a purposeful and disciplined leadership to restore hope and redirect the country towards economic prosperity. "The return of the President hale and hearty to his seat is a testimony that God loves Nigerians and wants N

RE-JKF & HIS FB COMMISSIONER: MATTER ARISING

Image
DRA Mr Debo Ranti Ajayi later called me on phone yesterday to explain that he was misquoted & misconstrued. According to him, having lost contact with JKF since their UNILAG days, he actually saw Fayemi's poster when he visited Nigeria during the 2010 re-run election & they met before he returned to Dubai. All this was well after the 2007 election. He said he travelled back abroad where he was Chairman of a multinational company. According to him, during one of his visits to Nigeria again when Fayemi was already a governor, he granted an interview with the Punch newspaper which Fayemi saw & this prompted him (JKF) to invite him to come and be Commissioner  which he said Fayemi did in good fate. However DRA told me that if he had his way then, he would have preferred to be appointed as Special Adviser rather than Commissioner bcos "as at the time of my appointment as a Commissioner, I didn't know anybody. I didn't know my ward & neither do l kno

JKF & His FB Commissioner: When Loyalty is on Trial

Image
JKF's Commissioner I was sad to learn authoritatively that Mr Debo Ajayi, a governorship aspirant who was one of the Commissioners appointed by the former Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, disclosed while canvassing for delegates' votes that he was invited via Facebook to come and serve as Commissioner in Ekiti. He reportedly revealed that he and Fayemi went to the same school at UNILAG but weren't in contact for years before he was invited via Facebook to serve as Commissioner. Not only that l see this statement as an embarrassment to the erstwhile Governor & Minister of Solid Mineral Devt who people considered to have a nag for thoroughness,  it is also an insult to the sensibilities of those more academically & politically qualified people who were with Dr Fayemi through thick and thin but were not as favoured as the likes of Debo Ajayi in the last administration. Now that this Commissioner who served under Dr Fayemi has declared his intention and he is now mo
