EKSU VC Not Involved in Accident

The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun is not involved in any accident contrary to insinuations in some quarters. This is according to a release by head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs of the University,  Bode Olofinmuagun. "As a matter of fact, it was his back up vehicle that was involved after the Vice Chancellor had already passed by the scene. "Those involved in the accident are already receiving treatment at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) and they are in stable conditions," the statement read.

The awards, started by France Football magazine later became a collaboration with the World Football body, FIFA with German captain and Inter Millan defender, Lothar Matthaus winning the inaugural edition of that merger. The Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said his administration will support the club with funds, manpower and materials to succeed in the National League. The governor said his administration will invest in sports development to empower the youths and invest in human capital development. Fayemi spoke on Monday at the official unveiling of the rebranded Ekiti United Football Club held at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. Alexis Sanchez has dropped the clearest hint yet that he will seek to leave Arsenal by confirming his desire to play in the Champions League. Arsenal missed out on qualification for Europe's elite club competition for the first time in 20 years after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season. OFFICIAL: Chelsea Sign £40m Bakayoko from Monaco

Tiemoue Bakayoko has completed his £40 million move to Chelsea from Monaco after completing his medical on Friday and signing a five-year deal. Chelsea and Antonio Conte targeted Bakayoko as their first choice option to strengthen their midfield and they are now expected to allow Nemanja Matic to leave to make room for the France international. Talks between Chelsea, Monaco and Bakayoko's representatives have moved slowly since they first started but all parties ultimatley came to an agreement for the 22-year-old. Bakayoko returned from his holiday in New York to complete the final arrangements of the transfer, though a knee injury could rule him out of the Blues's pre-season friendlies. Chelsea will next look to complete a deal for Juventus' Alex Sandro, which could break their transfer record that currently stands at £50m for Fernando Torres, as well as looking for attacking options.

Less than 24 hours after Manchester United announced the club had agreed a deal with Everton to bring striker Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford, subject to a medical and personal terms, the striker has taken to Instagram to seemingly confirm the move with snaps of his medical in the United States. The Belgian's Instagram story opens with a shot of him in a waiting room and the word "Medicals.." written below it. The story goes on to show the striker with wires attached to him and a laughing-crying face emoji above it, with "Please come save me" as the caption. The two closing frames show Lukaku signing a Manchester United shirt for a young fan with the caption reading "First Manchester United fan I've met.. #Blessed #Thankful" and a final frame of him giving a thumbs up captioned "Finito". Wayne Rooney has completed a return to boyhood club Everton after 13 years playing for Manchester United. The two clubs have been locked in transfer negotiations this week, with Romelu Lukaku set to go the other way for an estimated £75 million. The England striker, 31, left Goodison Park in 2004 for £25.6m and returns for a reported £10m to help fill the void left by Lukaku's departure. Rooney becomes the latest arrival at Goodison Park in an ambitious summer rebuild by Ronald Koeman, with big-money deals for the likes of Jordan Pickford, Micheal Keane, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez already wrapped up. "Wayne has shown me that ambition that we need and that winning mentality – he knows how to win titles and I’m really happy he’s decided to come home,” Everton manager Ronald Koeman told the official Everton site.

Lukaku in Man Utd Shirt Romelu Lukaku was due to have his medical in Los Angeles on Thursday night before sealing a £75m move to Manchester United, with the striker expected to join José Mourinho’s squad when they arrive in the city on Sunday for the club’s five-game pre-season tour of America. Lukaku has been holidaying in California with United’s Paul Pogba, who is a good friend and who has the same agent, Mino Raiola. The 24-year-old was due to fly back to England on Friday for pre-season training with Everton. Lukaku and Pogba However, as Mourinho is intent that Lukaku should be confirmed as United’s second summer signing as soon as possible, the manager has decided this is the best way to push the transfer through. The move means that, barring a last-minute hitch, United will have landed Lukaku ahead of Chelsea despite the west London club believing they were in pole position to prise him from Everton.
