Oyebanji’s Wife Receives Ekiti Online Market Group
• Commits to deepening entrepreneurship in the state
Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has solicited the cooperation of entrepreneur groups to enhance economic development of the state.
Dr Oyebanji made the call on Thursday while receiving audience members of Ekiti Online Market Business Group in Ado-Ekiti.
The First Lady commended the team for going beyond their comfort zone to add value to the
state through various online commercial activities. She also appreciated them for the good projection they are giving to the state government.
While expressing her willingness to use her good office to impact the vision of the team, Dr. Oyebanji said there was no better time for strengthening online activities than now that the global economy is experiencing a turbulence.
She said, "There is no better time for collaboration for a robust economy than now and my office is determined to partner progressive organisations like yours for the success of some of the pet projects my office would be embarking on in the years ahead."
Speaking further, the First Lady appreciated the group for supporting her office during Christmas by visiting and donating to the sick children in Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
She enjoined them to keep adding values to the society and keep improving the state economy.
Earlier in her remark, the group's coordinator in the state, Mrs Jane Adeyemo, who pointed out that her members cut across various disciplines like teaching, medical practice, accounting and others, stated that their aim was to help women leverage on technology and networking to become financially independent, successful and good home builders.
Adeyemo noted that the group currently has over 5000 members across all their selling platforms on social media, which enables them to sell to a wide range of customers within and outside the state. She added that the online community has organized three trade fairs in collaboration with Ekiti State Chamber of Commerce.
To this end, the Ekiti Online Market Group appealed to Dr Oyebanji to always carry the group along as she journeys on with life-changing activities in the office of the Ekiti State First Lady.
