Oyebanji Fulfils Promise to Musician

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has delivered on the promise he made to Saka , an Ikere Ekiti traditional musician ,at an event he attended in Ikere last November  . 


Saka had requested for a set of musical instruments from Mr Governor and he promised to grant his request. Saka thought it was a political statement he’s used to hearing from regular politicians.





Viola ! Mr Governor assembled a complete set of musical instruments at Saka’s door step in Ikere Ekiti.


The Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye presented the musical instrument to Saka in ikere  on behalf of Mr Governor in the presence of family, friends , Chairman Ikere LG and Representative of Ogoga Ikere .


This empowerment is a major economic boost for Saka , his family and band .

Ekiti Begins Payment of N30,000 Minimum Wage by October - Fayemi

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has said the state government would begin the implementation of the new minimum wage of N30,000 from this month. Fayemi said the decision was predicated on the need to improve the living standard of workers, especially teachers to be able to deliver the best and reposition the state to its pride of place as the education nerve centre of the country. The Governor spoke at Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado Ekiti on Saturday during the 2019 celebration of the Teachers’ Day, with the theme: “Young Teachers, the Future of the Profession”. At the event, Mr. Henry Olaoluwa Asubiojo of Amoye Grammar School and Tajudeen Olaoye of Anglican Primary School, Esun Ekiti and Mrs Mojisola Ehinafe of Technical School, Ado Ekiti, were awarded with cash price of N500,000 each, for emerging as the best teachers in the state.
