EKSG Taskforce On Fuel Scarcity Places Some Petroleum Marketers Under Surveillance Over Diversion

....Says a large consignment of PMS  is set to be delivered in Ekiti today.


The Taskforce committee on fuel scarcity constituted by Gov. Biodun Oyebanji has placed some fuel stations in Ado-Ekiti, Omuo and other towns in the state under surveillance but names not mentioned for suspected diversion of petroleum products meant for their outlets and the people.


The Chairman of the Taskforce committee,  Mr. Adesokan Israel said this in an interview with newsmen on Saturday in Ado Ekiti.


Jaru, who led the field monitoring team, said products distibuted by NNPC to the marketers are expected to arrive the petrol stations in within  24 hours.


“The issue of diversion has become worrisome and the Government of the day, under the capable leadership of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji will nip it in the bud in the interest of his Ekiti people most especially the masses,” Jaru said.


The Chairman urges the petrol dealers and stations not to hoard any of it or hike the cost as there would be serious consequences if they do. The Task Force will duly monitor the sales proceeding. The petrol is to be sold to the good people of Ekiti at the right cost. 


The Chairman therefore listed the fueling stations, with the quantity of petrol available to them and  what's expected of them today in Ekiti

He urged them all to be law-abiding as there would be effective monitoring on their activities.

Afenifere, Not A political party - Fadoranti Faults Adebanjo

Following an interview granted a television station recently by the acting factional leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo where he repeatedly claimed that the group is a political party, the leader of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti has faulted this on the ground Afenifere is a philosophy not a political party. Pa Fasoranti made this correction in a release signed by the National Publicity  Secretary of the organization, Comrade Jare Ajayi, saying that “Afenifere is a Philosophy and not a political party”.
