Fapohunda leads S/west AGs to meeting with Osinbajo

• State of zone's administration of justice system discussed   Ekiti Sate Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda led other South West Attorneys-General to a meeting with His Excellency, the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN.  The meeting which was held in the Vice President's conference room, State House, discussed among other topical national issues, the state of the Administration of Justice System in the South West States.  Under the Chairmanship of Fapohunda, the South West Attorneys-Generals (SWAG) have evolved into an important stakeholder in governance matters in the South West States.  Some of the key interventions of SWAG include the drafting and enactment of the Amotekun Laws in all the six South West States, the drafting of the South West Development Commission Bill currently in the National Assembly, the Laws on Judiciary and Legislature Financial Autonomy and the harmonization of the contribution of South West States t

Fapohunda, Fayemi's Attorney-General shortlisted to be SAN

The Honourable Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Ekiti State, Olawale Fapohunda and 129 other lawyers have been shortlisted by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) for the award of the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). The names of the shortlisted candidates were contained in a public notice for advertisment in the newspapers released by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee recently.  According to the Acting Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Secretary of the LPPC, Mrs Hajo Bello, the shortlisted candidates emerged from both the advocate filtration stages and academic pre-qualification exercise, “preparatory to the award of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria for the year 2021”. Fapohunda, a two-term Attorney General of Ekiti State is renowned for his contribution to the administration of justice in Ekiti State and Nigeria.  Some of the progressive laws credited to him include; Administration of Criminal Jus
