Erelu To Flag-off ‘Keep Girls in School Pad Bank’ in Okemesi July 1

In a move to minimize the number of out-of-school girl child in Ekiti State, wife of the State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi will, on Thursday, July 1, flag-off the ‘Keep Girls in School Pad Bank’ in Okemesi Ekiti. The flag-off ceremony which will take place at the St Michael's Anglican Church Event Hall, Esa-Oke Road, Odowo Street, Okemesi-Ekiti will start at exactly 10 am. The event is expected to bring together girls from senior secondary schools in Okemesi-Ekiti and Ido-Ile communities. The ‘Keep Girls in School Pad Bank’ initiative is aimed at addressing issues that keep girls out of school, one of which is ‘Period Poverty’ or lack of capacity for menstrual hygiene management. President Muhammadu Buhari Friday in Abuja said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been revived, energized and repositioned for its national convention and future elections, while commending the National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) led by Governor of Yobe State, Malam Mai Mala Buni. Ekiti APC Inaugurates State Congress Electoral Committee

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ekiti state today inaugurated an Electoral Committee to oversee the forth coming Congresses. The seven members committee, is headed by Chief Samuel Abejide and has Alhaja Maryam Ogunlade as a representative of the women folk. Other members are Chief Abiodun Aluko, Bashorun Odetola, Alhaji Babatunde Onipede, Hon Akindele Femi, and Hon Adumo Sunday. The Chairman of the Party, Barrister Paul Omotoso performed the inauguration ceremony at the party Secretariat in Ado Ekiti. The Chairman  announced that the the committee will assist members of the National Congress Committee assigned to the state to monitor and coordinate congresses in the state. The Electoral Committee will also ensure that the congresses are hitch free and successful. Chief Omotoso, while enumerating the importance of the assignment, charged the Committee members to be above board and show commitment.

No protest by soldiers in Ekiti - Govt

The Government of Ekiti State has said that there was no protest by soldiers in the state as being reported on some social media platforms earlier today. According to statement by the state's commissioner for information and values orientation, Akin Omole, “the new recruits into the Nigeria Army, who are indigenes of Ekiti state, came together to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State.  “The unscheduled visit however met with Mr. Governor's absence, and they were advised to properly channel their request for a meeting so that they can engage with Mr. Governor on a later date, after which they dispersed. “The large number of security operatives around the Governor's office and the Fajuyi area of the state capital, Ado-Ekiti, understandably attracted considerable attention.” The statement further explained that, “we would like to use this opportunity to assure the public that there is no cause for alarm. “The Government of Ekiti state continues...

This accident according to him must have been caused by a one way Offender as he had these as his caption.
