Ekiti Youth Group Raises Alarm Over Fresh Plot To Cause Mayhem In The State ......Calls For Arrest Of Sponsors

Ekiti Youth Vanguard wishes to alert the general public, especially residents of Ekiti state about fresh plan by some members of the opposition People's Democratic Party, (PDP) in the state to unleash another round of violence on the Peace Loving people.


Worried that their last plan was unsuccessful, during which they hijacked the peaceful protest against the brutality of an arm of the Nigerian Police, endSARS, opposition members in the state have been mobilizing some youths to cause chaos and mayhem in Ekiti state.


It is this same group of opposition members that were behind the looting and burning of some public buildings, during the endSARS protest, which they hijacked and used to discredit the present APC controlled administration in the state.


They went as far as discrediting notable figures in the administration such as the Chief of Staff to the Governor and Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, all in an attempt to set the people against them, but all these were futile.


We members of the Ekiti Youth Vanguard wish to let the people of the state to be aware that the present plan, which is again aimed at tarnishing the image of Dr Kayode Fayemi administration does not receive our blessing and we unanimously dissociate ourselves from it.


We equally say that any planned protest now is ill timed and has political coloration, aimed at achieving selfish goals of individuals, that are behind it.


We believe that it is worthless to embark on any form of protest now when those public ediffice that were destroyed during the last endSARS peaceful protest, which was later hijacked by Miscreants, sponsored by the PDP are yet to be repaired.


We also called on the security agents to be alert, proactive and take measures to nip in the bud, the planned protest as well as bring to book those identified to be the planners and sponsors.

ANA Faction Loses Court Case, Risks Being Docked For Contempt of Court

The National Executive of a faction of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) led by Mr. Camilus Ukah has lost its bid to challenge the jurisdiction of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, in a pending originating summons against them and the faction it constituted for Abuja, under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Usman Halima.
