Gov Fayemi has further Plans For Disengaged N-Power Beneficiaries - VOK. ...Highlights Govt's efforts on Social Investment Programmes

 Highlights of discussions on Social Investment Programme in Ekiti State and the efforts of the Government.

* All components of the Social Investment Programme is targeted at alleviating the poor people in our society.


* Over 120,000 pupils are enrolled in School Feeding programme in Ekiti State; this has increased the value chain of agricultural produce in the State and has yielded benefits to farmers (livestock and crops), traders alike.


* Ekiti State Government is also partnering with a digital payment platform to fast track payment of monies to beneficiaries across the State. This new development will also enable us create more jobs for our youths who will be engaged in the process.


* On COVID19: Ekiti State Government carried out a duly planned palliative distribution pattern to ensure the right beneficiaries received succour. Some of these include distribution through; LGA Councils, Religious bodies, NGOs & CSOs, Landlord Associations, Informal Sector bodies, etc.


* Following the disengagement of the last batch of  N-Power beneficiaries, in Ekiti State, the Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi and his cabinet has sought to build the capacity of over 4000 registered N-Power beneficiaries in the state. This is aimed at ensuring these youths don't remain redundant. More so, the capacity building is aimed at preparing them for available empowerment opportunities in the State including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN financial inclusion policy and programmes.




* On Cash Transfer and other SIPs in Ekiti: The State Government, headed by Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has ensured accountability and transparency in the process of beneficiaries engagements.


The Owo Arúgbó and Ounjẹ Arúgbó Programmes have been a massive support to the arrangement on Cash Transfer Programme in the State.
