The Governor of Ekiti state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has suspended his Special Assistant on anti-gracing, Sola Durodola over the careless manner he handled the case of the father who rejected his son suspected of having coronavirus.

This was made known in a press release personally signed by the Commissioner for Information and Value orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua yesterday.

The release stated that Aruwodola has been suspended indefinitely for acting outside his official duty pending the outcome of investigation into the matter.

It would be recalled that .......... who is a son to Mr Femi Adeoye smuggled himself to Ekiti State over the weekend and was refused entering into his house by Mr Adeoye and insisted that his son should be quarantined for 14 days before he could be allowed into his house.

This was done at the popular fajuyi pack as the exchange of arguments occurred between Adeoye and his son when Durodola was interviewing them as the father said he had warned his son to stay where he was in Lagos but the young man decided to come to Ekiti against his father's instruction.

The suspended officer was alleged to have acted beyond his official schedule by engaging in the duty of a medical official to the extent certifying young man to be fit. Mr Adeola insisted that his son must be quarantined for 14 days before he could allow him access to his house.  Durodola in the video insisted that Mr Adeoye must go home with his son otherwise the young man would be arrested by the police.

The video which went viral did not go down well with a section of the society as it was viewed as an embarrassment to the government. This singular action of Durodola was wildly condemned by a section of the society including journalists, health officials etc for allegedly turning himself to an health official.

Meanwhile, people from all walks of life have been commending Mr Adeola for his patriotism to have disallowed his son to gain access to his house without being quarantined first.

Following the patriotism of Mr Adeola, the COVID 19, Ekiti state has quarantined his son for the stipulated period of 14 days at one of the Ekiti state quarantine centers .
