Buhari Gets Acting COS As Wife Sponsors Buba Marwa

President Muhamadu Buhari has directed the General Administrative Officer, Abubakar Maikano to act as his Chief of Staff just as impeccable source revealed that the President's wife, Aisha is tipping former Lagos military Administrator, Col Buba Marwa as the substantive CoS.
The appointment of an acting COS which is an indication that President Muhammad Buhari is not in hurry to appoint a substantive CoS emerged last week in the presidency. Jostling for this vacant position started shortly after the death of former CoS, Mallam Abba Kyari died of coronavirus.
It was initially rumoured that the running mate to late MKO Abiola and the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babagana Kingibe was being considered for the job. It was however learnt that Buahri's wife preferred her kinsman, former military governor of Lagos state and chieftain of the ruling All progressives congress, APC in Adamawa state, retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa.
Another srong source within the corridor of power indicated that the Comptroller General of Customs Service who has been a long ally of Buhari, retired Col. Hameed Ali is another man to beat .Alli is said to be enjoying the backing of the President’s nephew, Mamman Daura who is seen as demi god in the Aso Rock.
There is also an indication that the current minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu who is a staunch member of the Buhari kitchen cabinet is being touted to be the substantive CoS.
With this directive to Maikano to "fully take charge and exercise his power of the office of the CoS, the appointment of substantive CoS may not be done soon." The source added
