Tutor General Felicitates With Ekiti Teachers, Students

The Tutor General For Ekiti Central Education District, Mrs Oluwatoyin Arogundade has congratulated the Students and teachers in the Zone for witnessing another peaceful and of the session. As the schools are rounding off for the end of the of 2018/2019 academic session, The Tutor General commended the workforce for their dedication and selfless service in the course of imparting knowledge into the students during the period.  She charged the students not to allow the holiday euphoria rob them of the good behavior they had learnt in school. Court Remands Dad For Allegedly Raping Daughter In Ekiti

O Abodunde has yesterday, Monday July 8, 2018 remanded one Basiru Adeyanju for alleged raping his seventeen year old daughter, name withheld. Adeyanju of No 30, Irona Quarters, Ado Ekiti, the state capital on the 10th of September, 2017 raped his daughter, which is contrary to section 358 of the criminal code law, cap c16, Law of Ekiti state, 2012. In a two count charges suit, read to accused bordering on rape and attempted rape, he pleaded not guilty. The Ekiti State Attorney General, Olawale Fapohunda who led two other colleagues from the ministry of Justice appeared for the state,  while Adeyinka Opaleke led other colleagues who appeared for the respondent. Having called the PW123 at the initial charge, Fapohunda informed the court to call 4 and 5 PW to continue his case which was granted.
