INEC Commences Continuous Voters' Registration in Ekiti
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ekiti State has commenced its Continuous Voters' Registration (CRV) today 11th, April 2018 in all the 177 wards of the state.
The exercise which starts today, is slated to end on the 16th of April 2018. This information was disclosed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Ekiti, Prof Abdul Ganiyu Olayinka in a One-Day Forum With Social Media Influencers in the State.

The REC, who said the Social media Practitioners play a vital role as they make sure information gets to the people that matters which are the youths, emphasised on the need for the Bloggers to avoid the spread of false information about election results and election related issues.
The Director, Voters Education & Publicity, INEC Headquarters in Abuja, Mr Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, who was also present at the forum said, "the social Media is an incredible media, it has become a primary source of information for many of us, this shows how powerful the media is. It is however unfortunate that fake news is everywhere because of the advent of social media".
He thereby enjoined the online media practitioners present at the forum to desist from spreading fake news during and after election process.
He stressed further to say that vital and concrete information can be sourced for On the commissions' website and social media platforms.
The participants of the forum (the online media practitioners), however, promised their support for the commission in as much as they are carried along about the important activities of the commission.
