Ekiti First Lady Pays “Thank-You” Visit To Monarchs’ Wives

• Canvasses Support For Oyebanji Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has again solicited the cooperation of traditional rulers' wives  for the incoming administration to succeed in all its activities. The Governor's wife  stated this when she paid a “thank you “visit to wives of the monarchs in the state at the Ewi's Palace in Ado Ekiti. FG proposes 200bn for Varsities

Ayu Esuku | Fountain Newsbreaker NG  The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Tuesday said the Federal Government is set to propose the sum of 200 billion naira in the 2023 budget for the revitalization of Federal Universities and for the payment of outstanding arrears of earned academic allowances. Adamu disclosed this while speaking during the meeting with vice-chancellors and other stakeholders in the university system. He said,”The sum of 150 billion Naira shall be provided for in the 2023 Budget as funds for the revitalization of Federal Universities, to be disbursed to the Institutions in the First Quarter of the year, and  a sum of 50 billion Naira shall be provided for in the 2023 Budget for the payment of outstanding arrears of earned academic allowances, to be paid in the First Quarter of the year”. Sack Varsity Lecturers Over Indefinite Strike, NANS Tells FG

Ayu Esuku | Fountain Newsbreaker NG The National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), has urged the federal government to apply its power to "hire and fire"any employee in dealing with the university lecturers over declaration of indefinite. It accused the Academic Staff Union of University(ASUU) of advertently promoting the private universities, where many of them currently work and have their wards. NANS considered the decision by ASUU to declare indefinite strike after six months of warning industrial action, as  not only "unpatriotic and unnecessary", but "wicked and definitely meant to collapse the public universities and promote private ones".
